Absolutely brilliant as we’ve come to expect from Martin McDonagh but few mention just how bleak it is. Man alive. Pitch black with odd moments of extreme violence. Lots to ponder but feel good it ain’t. Still reeling from it 😱
Proceed with caution
4/5

Was considering watching this but after OP's review I'm not so sure...
Brendan Gleason I love but I can't really go Colin Farrell at all.

Definitely worth a watch
It's Martin McDonagh reunited with the In Bruges team - what more can I say?
A v different film, and v dark, but one thing it certainly ain't is shite
OP must have got up on the wrong side of bed

I thoroughly enjoyed it, tho' the wife less so. I wasn't prepared for the darker turns it takes, but nothing wrong with that. It was also funny at times.
Performances were excellent.

I just think Colin Farrell is pretty one-dimensional but we'll see if I can fit it in.

In Bruges is a classic
Watched it a few times now and it's always a joy
Colin Farrell is great at portraying the out of his depth dimwit - he's a very likeable screen presence
I appreciate how he makes time for indie films despite his status as a star of blockbusters
His Dad played for Shamrock Rovers
Brendan Gleeson is always majestic - his son has got the chops too

It's the best film I have seen in the past year. Farrell is superb as is the actress who plays his sister.
