It's a great book, I mentioned it on the Pulp thread talkpunk.freeforums.net/thread/158/pulp?page=2&scrollTo=17165Currently listening to the audiobook of this beaut... Jarvis Cocker – Good Pop, Bad Pop: An Inventory (2022)Really enjoying it The premise is that Jarvis Cocker is cleaning out his loft. He explains the significance of an incredible array of ephemera. For example, toys or sticks of chewing gum or old packaging etc take him back to his childhood, old photos, flyers, tickets etc prompt memories of starting Pulp. The recurring item is a notebook detailing Pulp’s manifesto which Jarvis started planning as a pre-teen. Fascinating, funny, and fun.

Also got the George Melly biography collection for £3. Only problem is I need to live to about 150 to read these bloody books I keep getting.

Jarvis fans will love today's BBC6 programme where he goes to visit the Peel archives with John's son Tom Ravenscroft. Genuinely compelling as they go through boxes of long forgotten demo tapes and Cocker's reminisces of Pulp's first live in session. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001gkc8
