I spoke about this on another thread so I might as well add a few words.
This is very depressing and yet quite heart rendering, especially the final scene.
The flashback indie kid scenes didn't do it for me although I understood the need for the juxapostion.
The acting in the modern day scenes however was fantastic, especially Martin Compston and Ashley Jensen...but if Tony Curran doesn't win an award for his performance as Tully, then there's no justice in the world.
8/10.

Loved the book - which I've read twice
Keen to watch the TV adaptation and see how it compares
Got high expectations

Just finishing it. Heavy stuff. A must see Tony Curran reminded me of a ginger Billy Connolly in parts!
