Who can forget Hi Ho Silver Lining at the school disco.He was his own man and often bailed on projects and gigs. Personally I preferred him to Clapton and Page, the Beck, Bogert, Appice album is a gonzo guitar classic.

Was only watching a video of him playing guitar last night. A God given talent.
Also read he had a thing with Julia Carling for a few years when she was 18.
