This is currently getting big licks everywhere, which is never a good sign, so I decided to see what all the fuss is about.🤔
When you see something along the lines of'based on a video game', you know you shouldn't touch it with a barge pole....and yet, against type it still holds the interest.
It's post apocalyptic Boston and instead of a virus, the zombie plague is plant based and can be spread by kissing which means the zombies run around with-what looks like- large cauliflowers on their heads.
Without giving too much away, a 14 year old girl holds the answer to this infection and has to be taken to Wyoming in order for a cure to be found.
Yes, it's all been done before but there's some good dialogue and some of the cityscapes are impressive but so far the third episode is the best with a touching same sex love story which is sensitively done between a Survivalist pro gun redneck and a bloke who stumbles into his compound.
Worth watching for this alone.
7/10...so far.

A friend of mine has been raving about this
I'm not too keen on zombie/post apocalyptic type stuff but this might be the one that I like despite that preference?

^Yes, everyone does seem to be raving about it.
I suppose because its been heavily promoted everywhere.🤔
That sort of genre isn't for everyone so I wouldn't blame you for giving it a bodyswerve.
Episode 3 is good though, really strong, poignant performances.
Also, the 14 year old girl has some choice lines ala Tatum O'Neil when she was in 'Paper Moon'.😄
