I'm not sure how many of us had any kind of relationship to the rave scene
Anyway, one album from that era, Happiness (1989) by The Beloved really captures the era for me and still sounds great to my ears.

I'm not sure how many of us had any kind of relationship to the rave scene I was in the rave scene big time from 1990-1993. Never was into any of those quasi-ravey chart groups like the Beloved, Shamen, Prodigy, etc though. Here's half a dozen off the top of me head that take me back to those heady times Video Placeholder

Thanks Zeo - some good tunes there. Only knew two of them
Gotta say I was the other way, and preferred the more quasi-ravey chart groups
I remember stumbling across live performances by the Shamen and Underworld at Club Dog, before either broke through, and being absolutely blown away
I also loved the likes of Orbital, Mondays, A Guy Called Gerald, Leftfield, New Order, Primal Scream, The KLF, LFO, The Orb, Frankie Knuckles, Bomb The Bass, 808 State etc

I remember Primal Scream played with Belfast punk legends Stalag 17 in Glasgow when they were an indie rock band!
Small world eh?Boaby Gilliespie and Andy Innes were up from up the road from me(Mount Florida and Cathcart).
Great band👍
