Interesting take on the Thatcher legacy Don't disagree with the need for economic reform, and indeed a cut in income tax for the high earners, but can't help feeling that we are still suffering from the legacy of those decisions Anyway, can't be arsed to debate it

You'll get no argument from me on that. What I will say is that, awful as things are at the moment, they're still not quite as bad (in terms of inflation, industrial unrest and economic stagnation) as they were at the end of the seventies, meaning that 40+ years of Conservatism has left Britain in better shape than 30+ years of Socialism did.
