Ed Kuepper - Honey Steel's Gold
It's a vinyl reissue of a 1991 album. Only came out a few weeks ago. It's great.

Lisa O'Neill - All Of This Is Chance
Something out of folk left field. Absolutely sumptuous, dark nights drawing in songs.

I don't mean to be a downer but 2023 is typical of most years since the mid-late 80's to produce no albums worth listening to.

Only heard the Meg Baird of that lot I think you'd like David Carroll (Fairport Convention-style electric folk), Goat (mixture of acid-rock and Wicker Man-style instrumental stuff), Giöbia (nice psych/space-rock), Me & My Kites (ethereal folk/psych/pop), Opel (folk/psych again) and Karen Zanes (trippy singer/songwriter stuff). The remainder is more prog/metal/avant-garde, though you might like Lumsk (somewhat similar to Steeleye Span but with a strong metal influence).

Thanks Pol
I do know Goat, and like some of their tunes, but yet to check out the new album
All the rest sound very tempting - the folk/psych/pop crossover often supplies some splendid sounds
GOAT - Live at Newcastle Boiler Shop - 19th April 2023

Getting to that time of year when all the best of lists come out
So what about you?
What's the real actual BEST album of the year?
What other long players are likely to endure for you?
What about tunes?
What do you love from 2023?
I'll have a mull and pronounce in the next few weeks

Best Mitski - The Land Is Inhospitable... Life affirming album, full of light and shade.
Others Lucinda Williams - RocknRoll Heart After years of introspection, Ms Williams comes back with a real Americana country rocker.
Rolling Stones - Hackney Diamonds Forget the hype, it is a damn good album.
Lisa O'Neill - All Of This Is Chance Either you like her voice or you don't, best album for relaxation ever?
