Privatising public services doesn't work
Simple as
The people who run the water companies should face criminal charges
Most likely plenty of the rail companies too
Profit over people
Profit over the environment
Profit over everything
Shareholders first, everyone else irrelevant

Superb Guardian headline on this topic today:
"Taxpayer cash must not be used to bail out Thames Water, says Feargal Sharkey."
Perhaps we could have the thoughts of other long-forgotten eighties artists on oddly specific political topics?
"Government should have considered Tanzania instead of Rwanda for offshore processing plans, says Limahl of Kajagoogoo."
"Arriva Trains Wales should be stripped of its franchise, says Carol Decker of T'Pau."
"Decision as to whether Jaffa Cakes are cakes or biscuits for VAT purposes should be reversed immediately, says Eddie Lundon of China Crisis."
(China Crisis sprang to mind as I saw them live on Saturday with a friend who loves eighties music. They were rather entertaining.)

Feargal Sharkey has extensively campaigned against the pollution of British rivers (particularly chalk streams), and the regulations of the water industry. He gave the keynote address at The Rivers Trust Autumn Conference 2018 and has subsequently become a figurehead for the campaign to prevent water companies dumping untreated sewage into UK waterways and coasts, appearing on television news coverage as well as supporting The Times Clean It Up campaign

I was just being facetious. The things people do with their lives post-stardom, eh?

When they do something that doesn't prove that they're criminal parasites it might be worth starting a thread about them

Raw sewage is being dumped into English waterways Water companies treat our waterways like an open sewer. Government and regulators continue to turn a blind eye. Tell Rishi Sunak to take action act.gp/3TSvoR5
