It is hard to believe I once owned The Eagles Hotel California, but I admit to my folly and sin. That album was out of my collection quick-smart as soon as I heard Tommy Ramone yelling 1-2-3-4!
Yet I still mourn Randy Meisner because like many US musicians who ended up in superficial, super-slick and ridiculously popular mega-bands, he had a background playing in a 60s garage band. He was once in The Poor from Los Angeles. Must of their stuff I have heard is quite acceptable pop music, but some of it has more of an edge, especially their first single from 1967, ‘She’s Got The Time (She’s Got The Changes)’.
