As I said, the tightest Irishman in the world.
So tight his arse squeaks when he walks.

Well, the Huns can't ever emulate the Celtic Invincibles as they've been beaten!
Typical pro hun Scottish media spin.
Rodgers' Invincibles never lost a game in all competitions and won the treble.
The huns are desperate to hang onto our coat tails courtesy of the succulent lamb brigade.
I'm actually surprised about wee pingpong. I suppose it's for the best as someone else will make him a better player.
As for Martindale and the Crooks 11?
David Murray was a cheat and he got away with it so why not Martindale?

Was the invincibles season the one when Rangers first returned to the Prem after their liguidation?
To what extent was that a factor in Celtic being invicible that season?
Still an achievement mind.
In England, only one top flight team has ever gone a whole season unbeaten.

No the achievement is to go through the whole season and win every trophy unbeaten.
Sevco were back in the league well before Rodgers was the manager and invested heavily but were well beaten at every turn and finished 30 odd points behind the Champions.
Everything they try to achieve Celtic have already done , 9 in a row,(twice)European trophies, Invincibles, etc.
Of course, they still didn't win the European Cup and the current club have never won a major trophy.
Success?π€£π€£

Yeah. They will always be in Celtic's shadow. No doubt. I'd thought the unbeaten season was Rangers first back in the Premiership. My mistake. I also didn't know about the heavy investment during that season. Although, as Chelsea will attest, heavy investment doesn't always mean a good team

Of course, look at Celtic!
Lawell claims to have invested 36 million since 2019 and look where we are.
Some people are eventually wising up to the REAL reasons Rodgers left.
The fans who thought he left for selfish reasons and called him a Judas should hang their heads in shame.
It makes me angry that those silly teenage boys in the Green Brigade were calling for his head when they know nowt about football and the machinations within it.

I've said it before Rogue, Celtic's main issue is the lack of competitiveness domestically. Celtic and Rangers would probably finish midtable in the Championship with their current squads. If there were more clubs in Scotland who could compete financially with Celtic it would be a different story. One of the main reasons the English Prem is so popular globally is because any team can and does beat any other. This season the bottom six in the Prem can and do give the top teams really hard games - and sometimes beat them.
For Celtic to win 9 in a row and do 3 consecutive domestic trebles tells you all you need to know. Even this season they're comfortably in second place and, if Rangers were still in financial oblvion, would still win the league despite having gone backwards since last season.

Let's be honest.
It's never going to change as Celtic are never going to go to the EPL and I wouldn't want them to.
There are no easy games in Scotland and our competitive level should be doing well in Europe.
There are obvious reasons why Celtic and Sevco have big fan bases in Scotland and Celtic are a cultural phenomenon whereas the rest are just football teams.
Anyone can compete if they get 10's of millions thrown at them and thats what's ruined the EPL.
Good management takes a certain degree of money, a good youth system and a manager with a keen eye for a player.
Celtic's problem is that the Chief Executive manages the team.

His replacement is a 'financial hardman'too which doesn't augur well.
Will he be another puppet Pete will manipulate from his 'retirement' caravan in Largs?

He must be the worst defender we've signed in 20 years.
And yet Lennon keeps playing him. He must have cost us around 15 points this season.
We'd have been better off signing Patrick Duffy-The Man from Atlantis.π

Flipping heck. Rangers are just six wins away from clinching the Scottish Premiership title after last night's victory over St Johnstone

The huns have been struggling since they flukily beat us.
The problem is that we've been in such a state we haven't been able to make up any ground whatsoever.
If both teams win all their games the huns will want to win their first trophy at Paradise.
That should be incentive enough to beat this mob.
The huns will get beaten in the league regardless of what the succulent lamb brigade in the media wish for.
