Lawwell sticks rigidly to his 'business model'and never deviates from it.
He is also never wrong which is why a lot of the Celtic support gasped when he apologised last week for the Dubai trip.
Desmond is a billionaire but displays a tightness which would make both Paul McCartney and Tommy Cooper proud.
Trust Celtic to be (part)owned by the meanest Irishman in the world😂🤨

Livingston pick up a second draw in a week against Celtic, having rested a few of their best players tonight. Eight wins and two draws since David Martindale took charge. Incredible 🤩

Not really.
Celtic should have won the game but the same old culprits cost us again.
Duffy has no technique in the tackle and McGregor was anonymous.
Not that this surprises Celtic supporters anymore as even with a two goal lead for example we're still capable of shipping goals.
Shocking weather and a terrible playing surface but the mistakes and the culprits remain consistent.
Sack Lennon before it becomes embarrassing.

Well it's not just Celtic that Livingston have been doing well against recently. Indeed you did better by getting draws against them rather than being defeated.
I expect Lennon will go, but doubt the board see it as urgent
Still second. Two league defeats all season.
It's the draws that have killed you.
Plus continued failure in Europe, but that's nothing new
Rangers being competitive probably does Celtic a favour, at least you have to up your game now which might also translate into a few more wins in Europe
Either way, it's definitely slightly more interesting for the neutral. The last nine years have just been a tedious one team procession

The point is Livi are doing better but it's only at a certain level. They may compete at the same level of Hibs and Aberdeen which is good for them but how long will it last?
Considering Celtic won a quadruple treble then this season it's a bit of a disaster.
The supporters wanted 10IAR and Lawwell has always known this.

Agreed. Livi have no resources, so an undefeated run is all the more remarkable when it happens
If he keeps it up then Martindale will go on to bigger and better things. That's the way of the world
Celtic are underperforming, but not by that much. Two defeats in the league all season. In most leagues that would see you out in front. And for the last 10 years in Scotland it would have been sufficient to still win the league
I agree with Lennon....
"The club isn't a shambles, far from it. And it's not in crisis off the field. The board have been magnificent; they've presided over nine titles in a row and a quadruple treble.
"I think people need to take a step back and put some perspective on it."
It's just Stevie G's Rangers are more competitive this season. So far anyway. Could yet unravel.
As I say above, that's probably good news for Celtic as it will force them to up their game. It should also make Celtic better equipped in Europe next season and beyond
As a neutral it certainly makes the Scottish Premiership a bit more interesting

These excuses Lennon is using are wearing thin and he knows it.
As a neutral you just can't understand what it means to the Celtic support to get 10IAR.
Lennon's failure to do it will cost him his job.

I am sure Lennon will go at the end of the season, maybe before then Looking back on your earlier comments at the start of this season, you did not expect Gerrard and Rangers to be doing this well. Understandable. I don't think anyone saw them going on this kind of run. My analysis is that if Celtic do fail to win the league then it's more to do with Rangers performing well than Celtic's shortcomings. You are right though, I don't understand what it means to the Celtic support to get 10IAR. Seems like the most hollow achievement imaginable. Winning a one horse race for 9 years when your resources dwarf every other team in the league seems like business as usual and nothing to get carried away about.
If I was a Celtic supporter I'd be more interested in Europe. A club of Celtic's stature should be showing what it's about on the big stage - not worried about winning a competition that is a gimme. Sadly the lack of competition in Scotland means Celtic are ill equipped to do anything when they come up against a half decent side from another league, hence the repeated recent embarrassments in the Champs League and Europa.

It's Celtic's failing.
It's broadly the same squad of players who soundly thrashed Gerards tribute act since he started. It's with the advent of Lennon that things have started to slide.
Lawwells short sightedness has handed it to the huns on a plate.
As for it being 'hollow'?
Only to ignorant people.
As hollow as Stein being the first 'British'manager to win the European Cup.

Money rules in the Champions League.
I mean look at lowly Arsenal who fail to win anything most years.
Pointless.

Stein winning the European Cup is right up there with the greatest sporting achievements of all time
10IAR if it happens this season? Get real. Celtic had no significant opposition in Scotland for the previous nine seasons

It makes a huge difference to qualify for it. You want to pray that Rangers don't win the league and go on to qualify for the Champs League Arsenal under Wenger were winning lots and ever presents in the Champs League. It all went wrong with the arrival of Abramovich at Chelsea and UAE at City. Not that I have a problem with that - just explaining how things changed. FYI, Arsenal have won more FA Cups than any other team in England plus 13 league championships, more than every other team except Man Utd and Liverpool

Hardly Celtic's fault that the Rangers went bust and the rest are pish😂

If Celtic get away with winning the Scottish Cup I'll be happy.
It's probably more than we deserve.
