Saw him a couple of times with Cloughie at the Leicester Forest East service station cafe, allegedly doing under the table transfer deals.

One of those great coaches but not great managers in the same way as another ex Place alumni, Malcolm Allison, had a way of getting the best out of players and a great tactical innovator. Remember watching him play quite a few times for QPR as well in the early 70's, a very useful player.
And made a star out of Nicholas Ball, he with the apt surname.
