Odd little film that shows the life of Auschwitz commandant Rudolf Hoess and his family in their pleasant home and garden within the camp itself. What's going on beyond their domesticity is only heard and.never shown.
It begins with a blank screen and some music that is strangely disturbing but more evocative of chaos rather than mass murder. Which the Berlin Holocaust memorial was also intended to be.
Worth seeing if you can, was only £5 at my local Cineworld.
