Don't really know much about The Long Ryders or their music but I do blimmin love this song
The Long Ryders - Looking For Lewis And Clark (1985)
Is there more of this good good stuff in their oeuvre?

Oh Yes! A new wave Byrds if you will, even had the guitars and haircuts to match.
I remember vividly the vid below closing an episode of the OGWT, the guitar wig out at the end is great. I bought the debut Native Sons album on the strength of that clip, loved it. But they'd surfaced during the era of the Smiths, REM, Echo Bunnies, Depeche M etc and they didn't get any more traction in the UK and they fell off my radar. Worth a revisit for sure.

I only know Looking For Lewis and Clark. Seems a bit derivative of the Stooges.
I remember Syd Griffin being on the Mark and Lard show quite a lot in the 90s.

'Paisley Underground' stalwarts IIRC. I always confused them with Birdland, who had better hair.
