Not seen this yet but a mate gave it a strong recommendation He said... If you're interested in art, commerce, culture, the cynical world that we live in. Ben Moore had one good idea, a sexy idea and he ran with it. He took Starwars Stormtroopers helmets and got famous artists to customise them, for chariddddy of course. They looked good, he had exhibitions in London and New York and raised a lot of money. And then the empire struck back and somebody in a pub introduced him to NFT’s. Poor Ben bit of a LOMBARD ( Loads of Money But A Right Dickhead) didn’t ask the artists permission or George Lucas’s permission to use the customised Stormtroopers as NFT’s to sell online. Plus when they found out that they didn’t have enough NFT artwork they got a Bosnian NFT Farm to create thousands of shite customised helmets. You just know what’s going to happen don’t you? and it did and it makes great viewing. Greed Greed Greed. The bloke who use to run The Mutoid Waste team sums it up when he says that Ben got played by his “ partners” who wisely never used their real names. Fools and their money are easily parted as Ben is still finding out. This is an absolutely fascinating documentary that you can watch on the iplayer Will be watching it in the next couple of weeks www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0020cw2/the-stormtrooper-scandal

This is excellent. I don't quite understand NFT's and digital currency but it did go a long way in explaining how they work to a luddite like me. Chancers and crooks abound in the sale of cheap computer picture knock ups, would it have been that successful if covid hadn't shut the real world? Also profoundly depressing that the modern world goes into an almost orgasmic state on something that doesn't really exist.
