Had the Vanian look well before Dave thought of it.
Used to watch Pot Black religiously back in the day.
RIP Ray

That's the one. Was on ABC down here. There were some characters in that series. Australia's Eddie Charlton was a competitor for several years

Trying to recall that Pot Black programme, was it only one frame of play? And I think it gave rise to the comment, 'for those of you watching in black and white, the green is behind the pink' or similar.
RIP Ray

An ironic title for a show featuring a sport that was fuelled by white powder at the time... www.thesun.co.uk/sport/14833256/snooker-working-class-lads-cocaine-playboys/RR was above all of this, of course, and voiced suspicions after losing to a charged-up Alex Higgins in 1982: "When we came back on, the guy who came on wasn't the guy who'd gone off. No. He'd taken something. He was tested. The test was mislaid. Don't ask me where it went. We never heard any more about it. What a shame! But the guy who came back wasn't the guy who left the floor."
