The last surviving member of the short-lived but legendary Young Charlatans is dead at age 66. The band comprised Janine Hall on bass guitar, Jeffrey Wegener on drums, Ollie Olsen on vocals and guitar and Rowland S. Howard on vocals and guitar. Following the Young Charlatans, Olsen sidelined guitar and formed electronic group Whirlywind. His obituaries highlight his short collaboration with Michael Hutchence (which is better than might be expected by non-INXS fans), but that was only a blip in his career, he did a lot more.
