Fair enough @lordemsworth ! I thought Leeds should have been in the prem years ago and that Bielsa is simply doing what should have been expected of the other managers. They’ve certainly got the resources to make things happen, after all. Thanks Smog Just to be clear, I don't like Leeds for all kinds of reasons but do think Bielsa is the real deal. That said he does seem to come with a short best before date, so don't be surprised if it starts to unravel this season or next, or, more likely, he just walks. |

Yeah. Been in the offing for a while 12 point deduction too - so that's them gone at the end of the season Here's hoping someone comes in to buy them Mel Morris massively overspent to try and get them into the Prem and when that failed it was always going to be tricky |

Dane Murphy had a brilliant track record of unearthing gems from the Bundlesliga etc who fitted the Barnsley style so that one appointment followed seamlessly from another. Be interesting to see if he can achieve something similar at Forest. I hope so. I'd love to see Forest do a Leeds! Talking of Leeds, I heard Phil Hay discussing his new book 'And It Was Beautiful: Marcelo Bielsa and the Rebirth of Leeds United' Talk about a transformational managerial appointment. Right up there with Georgie Graham, Alex Fergusson, Arsene Wenger etc Ah, the Leeds bollocks drives me potty, "OH BUT THEY PLAY SUCH WONDERFUL ATTACKING FOOTBALL", no good if you still lose. They had massively underachieved for years, and with their fan base and dodgy smokescreen ownership which the football authorities have let them get away with for years they should have easily been an EPL club. The only thing you could rely on was Leeds to bottle it in the last few months of the season. They are getting found out now. We love to see it! Leeds in the relegation zone, Bielsa being found out. |
