Sounds like they're willing to splash the cash on someone with proven experience That squad should be in and around the play off places Trouble is, most teams in the Championship have had parachute payments at some stage and think they have a God given right to Automatic, or the playoffs and will sack a manager very quickly if that wish is not granted. Also a lot of the bigger earners who have stepped down are not prepared for the rough and tumble of the division. Yes. 100% this. Teams like Norwich, Burnley and (probably) Sheffield United have a more enlightened view. Don't go mad and splash the cash to survive in the Prem and, if you do go down, stick with the manager who took you up.

You can't take your eyes off the EFL
The mid week fixtures really enliven lockdown - League One and League Two especially
More generally we might all be able to see one or two matches before the end of the season - I'm daring to dream

Forest mathematically safe now. But what a boring season, on reflection many fans will be glad they didn't shell out three hundred plus for a season ticket.

Yes, season to forget for Forest Chris Hughton has steadied the ship now so better times ahead He's got to trim that bloated squad though and, hopefully for Forest, get some younger legs up front I'd expect to see Forest pushing for top six next season Meanwhile, in the Champ, the fight for the play off places is still interesting and the play offs should be fun Relegation looking clearer - Wycombe looking doomed but Rotherham might still escape Wednesday looking unlikely to escape too. Should have appointed Darren Moore a bit sooner

Haven’t been paying much attention to the EFL.Just how good are teams like Norwich and Watford? Think any of them could crack the top half of the Prem? I doubt it They'll both be battling relegation That said, in Champ terms Norwich are magnificent yet again and if they can hold on to Emi Buendia then they could end up mid table. Big if though. He's a wonderful player To an extent the same could apply to the Hornets and Ismaila Sarr - another brilliant player who will probably move to bigger and better things in the Summer

So, penultimate weekend in the EFL, with still plenty to be decided. I'm really enjoying League One and even more especially League Two this season. I can't believe it's nearly over
PU, would you be happy to see Forest lose to Wednesday today as it would increase Derby's chances of the drop?
Currently 0-0 at half time

I'm not rabid anti Derby, I like the bragging rights of beating them in games in the same division.

Answered my own question.... Sheeran is not the first music star to sponsor their favourite football club. Others to have done so include: Fontaines D.C at Bohemians Goldie Lookin' Chain at Newport County Jake Bugg at Notts County Super Furry Animals at Cardiff City The Libertines at Margate Wet Wet Wet at Clydebank www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-57009557

Fatboy Slim sponsored Brighton who had to run around with "Skint" on their chests. (his label) I've got one of those Skint home shirts - still looks great I'm a bit of a shirt collector and have quite a few My current favourite is the Forest Green Rovers zebra kit - got the away shirt and will probably get the green one too This is the current home shirt...
