Very fine margins in both Champs League games
Arsenal probably not got a deep enough squad to compete on both fronts - shame they didn't go out to Porto which might have helped the title tilt
City were so close to prevailing
Both games could easily have gone the other way

Villa goalkeeper Martinez is getting a lot of flak this morning. His gamesmanship was probably what got them through. A loveable shithouse is what one of his supporters is calling him.

Villa looked worn out tonight. It was referenced that they'd played 55 games this season with only a squad of 18 regular players, on the bench tonight were three teenagers who had not played a senior game. Olympiacos too clever and soaked up the pressure and attacked on the break.
Nothing for English clubs this year.

Real took their chances, Dortmund didn't. Got to respect Ancelotti, no jumping up and down, screaming at officials or having digs at other teams and managers, class act.
