I've already seen all of the conspiracy theories ; "He hasn't really got it. It's an excuse to avoid further Presidential debates/a way of trying to gain public sympathy/a way of appearing to be superhuman when he makes a miraculous full recovery" etc etc.
I'd have more time for these nonsense theories if Trump and his supporters hadn't been downplaying or outright denying the existence of Covid from the very start. An official announcement that he's got the virus directly contradicts the cries of "Hoax !" which came, and continue to come, from the American far Right, which is Trump's own hard core support base.
BTW, I saw a statement a few days ago which perfectly nails Trump ; "It's hard to believe that he even exists. It's as though somebody took everything bad about America, scraped it up off the floor, put it in a hot dog skin and taught its' mouth to make noises".

You're all probably aware that he's now been helicoptered to hospital as a "precautionary" measure.
We're assured that he's well, will continue to keep working from hospital and has no intention of temporarily transferring Presidential powers to Mike Pence.
Substitute "Johnson" for "Trump" and we've heard all that before. It was bullshit then and it's probably just as untrue now.
I wouldn't feel a moment of sorrow if that orange skinned piece of shit dies of this virus.
There are only a handful of people on this planet that I'd wish death upon, and he's one of that very select group.

I'm only surprised that he didn't call the virus fake news and he certainly didn't want any lockdown because any subsequent economic fallout was obviously going to affect his reelection prospects.
His supporters are going to scream conspiracy if he does die and we'll never hear the last of it.
I expected him to start several wars and that there'd be millions dead by the end of his 4 years but obviously that hasn't happened. It's a sorry state when we expect these creatures to leave nothing but misery and vote for the least worst option. But Trump has definitely emboldened white supremacy and we'll see where that leads.
