I'm midway through... The Lost Honour of Christopher JefferiesThe Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies is a 2014 British television film that tells the real-life story of retired schoolteacher Christopher Jefferies who was initially questioned by police as a suspect in the murder of Joanna Yeates who rented a flat from him.Christopher Jefferies was vilified by sections of the press for being some sort of posh weirdo (he didn’t even own a TV for chrissakes, what sort of nutter is he!?) despite leading a very fulfilled life. Jason Watkins plays Jefferies with all his mannerisms and eccentricities, it’s a real tour de force and if you haven't watched it check it out Jason Watkins won a BAFTA for best actor and, needless to say, he is brilliant in it Currently on the ITV player

I finished this last night - really excellent and highly recommended
The ads on ITV player are a bit annoying though

I lived near Christopher Jefferies for many years and often saw him around and about, and yes, Jason Watkins take on him is so accurate that it's uncanny. It's one of those fascinating films that I've watched several times and never tire of. A very sad story but very well portrayed.

I remember watching this after reading about the successful conviction of Vincent Tabak and thinking about what a stupid cunt he was for changing his story.

Did you ever talk to Christopher? No, he was just someone that you'd see around Clifton. Instantly recognisable by his hair.
He seemed to be a very quiet person so it clearly took a lot of courage for him to pursue matters in the aftermath of the case. Fair play.
