Paterson's resigned!
Good riddance
Owen Paterson has resigned as an MP after a row after his conduct led to a government u-turn.
The Conservative was found to have broken lobbying rules and was facing suspension - until Tory MPs blocked it by calling for an overhaul of the MPs' standards watchdog instead.
They initially had the backing of No 10, but Downing Street reversed its decision after a furious backlash.
Johnson eh? One minute he's whipping his MPs to vote to remove an independent watchdog the next he's changed his mind
How must those MPs be feeling now - many of whom never wanted to have to vote for such a sleazy corrupt proposal in the first place
What a clown

Scurrilous and incompetent, yet they'd still get in tomorrow if there was an election.
That Andrea Loathsome should resign too.

Majority of front pages devoted to Tory sleaze and chaos. Let's hope it gives a few of their voters pause for thought...

Even my Tory dad was fuming about this.
If they think we want to be a cesspool of corruption and toxicity like America they are sadly mistaken.

Another day, another set of stories about MPs and their side-hustles Today’s best/funniest/most enraging/all of the above (delete as applicable) is in the i... Natalie Elphicke, the Conservative MP who told Marcus Rashford he should stick to his day job has (wait for it) a second job as chair of the New Homes Quality Board (NHQB), an independent watchdog for new-build houses, for which she earns a cool £36,000 a year inews.co.uk/news/politics/tory-mp-natalie-elphicke-marcus-rashford-second-job-1297017

He doesn't want the job anymore. Angling to get himself replaced and get a cushy berth writing puff pieces for the Spectator and Times.

^^ He could pull his trousers and pants down and lay a massive turd and it wouldn't make a scrap of difference to tory voters
