I bought this when it came out, and they played our local art school students union around the same time.
IIRC their keyboard player was later in the Christians, who had a dark-skinned singer so it's prolly fair to say that not everybody associated with Stiff records is an out-and-out nazi

Blimey... yeah. i'd forgotten about this band. it's the only song i recall by them... they remind me a bit of The Monochrome Set, or maybe they influenced them?
Back in 1977 i'd have probably turned my nose up at this track... not Punky enough!

Yacht's mainman Henry Priestman is still sporadically making music, he seems to be one of those mavericks like Martin Newell who succeeds by catering to a loyal fanbase Here's his website.. www.henrypriestman.com/Yachts were formed in Liverpool and put out a couple of LPs Here's a couple of pleasing tunes from the debut... Gotta love obsessive record collectors [at least I know I am not alone!] ...it's an affliction i have had since 1971. But i know people that have it far worse!
