They used to show these on a saturday afternoon on the telly, haven't seen one for a while though
'Catch us if you can' with the Dave Clark 5 is a notable example, being director John Boorman's first feature.
Opening sequence owes a lot to 'Help' but it gets better as it goes on...

Get yerself over to Talking Pictures TV They have the odd 60s pop film I recorded A Hard's Days Night yesterday - although it was on BBC I think

By the by, the Dave Clark 5 were massive Stateside
DC himself was also incredibly canny. Paid for all his own recordings and then leased them to the record company.
