I met billy bragg...he was a bit decandant backstage - but was really a nice fellow and into the cause I threw my hat into the ring for..no he was was great...It was Jail Guitar Doors..a good thing

I read somewhere that he still stayed in Tory Essex...
The above video shows that he at least is capable of understanding his 'Englishness' from a non-monolithic point of view.
Mind you, not a new thing in punk rock, Mensi did too despite that dreadful song 'England' 🤔

It says Billy Bragg meets Van Morrison on the cover. Presumably it's some kind of conversation. Might be interesting given Van Morrison's recent political thoughts.
