When I got banged up on Monday they let me read this in my cell. Has anybody else (apart from politician2) read this?

Yeah, it's a fantastic book about Nico and her life and work in the mid-eighties. James Young is an extremely witty writer and really captures her milieu, filled with addicts and low-level semi-professional musicians. I worked with someone who was on the very fringes of her circle, and he was just like the characters in the book.

Yes, a great read
It's been a good 20 years since I read it but I know I really enjoyed it

An absolutely superb read and you don't have to be interested in Nico to enjoy it.
Really evocative of early 80s Manchester.

Read it for a second time recently, still as good as I remembered. Great book.
