The Hijacker Who Vanished: The Mystery of DB Cooper
A mysterious fugitive, a hijacked airplane and a daring mid-air escape. This is the extraordinary, real-life tale of one of the greatest unsolved heists in American history and a case that has taunted the FBI for decades. This documentary brings the stories of the four possible suspects to life through candid testimony, archive footage and stylised drama. Each account is gripping and highly plausible. But who is telling the truth, who is lying and, ultimately, who is DB Cooper?Monday 23 November 2020 at 21:00

Interesting. The stoner comedy Without A Paddle was about searching for Cooper's money.

I've always found this case to be fascinating. The air crew who interacted with "Cooper" reported that he was the complete opposite to the stereotypical hijacker – urbane, polite, friendly and considerate.
Since none of the money was ever spent, it's likely that "Cooper" died during his descent: he jumped into a 200mph tailwind and temperatures far below zero wearing only a business suit and trenchcoat. However, another theory holds that he was never really interested in the money, and had no intention of spending it: he was a man with a grudge against the airline and merely wanted to inconvenience them and cost them a large sum of cash.

Anyone see it? Very good indeed.
Spoiler. Of the four possible suspects, I leant towards the copycat McCoy character later killed in a FBI shootout though the widowed wife with her investigative friend was also plausible.
What say you?

I'm about an hour in now and finding all the suspects pretty plausible

Yeah, those are the two most likely. I slightly favour the widowed wife based on her testimony about the paper back thrown out of the car and the money turning up on the shore just down river. Great story though - and, as they conclude, we all have a Cooper sized hole in our life
