How are you gonna be spending Xmas in 2020? What's going to be different to how you normal do it? How many people are you going to be seeing? How risky do you think your plans are? Are you making any changes? e.g. masks, windows open, social distancing, doing stuff outside

As same as ever. Keeping away from many people as possible, covid gives me a good excuse this year.

It'll be the same as every other year – I'll spend it with all my friends. We have no Covid in the community and no social distancing restrictions, so there's no risk involved and no reason to do anything differently.

You’re on the I.O.M aren’t you? Are you saying you haven’t got Covid on the island or just in your immediate vicinity?

As same as ever. Keeping away from many people as possible, covid gives me a good excuse this year. At Xmas do you do anything different fron the rest of the year PU? Few decorations? Send a few cards? Eat seasonal food? Listen to Xmas tunes? It'll be the same as every other year – I'll spend it with all my friends. We have no Covid in the community and no social distancing restrictions, so there's no risk involved and no reason to do anything differently. Lucky you

You’re on the I.O.M aren’t you? Are you saying you haven’t got Covid on the island or just in your immediate vicinity? We have a total of four active cases on the island. All are in isolation, so the disease is not circulating in the community. When the disease first hit, we closed our borders to non-residents and have kept them closed. Residents may leave the island and return, but must compulsorily isolate for 14 days. Anyone failing to do so gets a month in prison.

No to all that lot.
Enjoyed it with my kids 15 years ago. Nowadays, it's just 24 hours that gets in the way of doing things.

My missus insisting i get her a surprise, after she's given me a list of stuff she wants.I can't think of anything else,it's all on the list. Decorating the xmas tree. We've got shit loads of decorations,it takes forever. Starts way too early. What kind of person puts their tree up in November?

Personally, I love Christmas and I'm a committed atheist!
However, I'm not a huge fan of family get-togethers so it'll be myself and Mrs Roguepunk on Christmas Day but will probably go and see our pals and families later on and for a wee drink with them on Ne'erday.
No work, cracking open the Bucks Fizz on Christmas morning followed by a few wee Baileys.Whats not to like?👍🤩
The only real problem is it always makes you think of all the people you've lost over the years.
Also, getting older how many people lose their parents eventually too as 3 pals of mine have lost their mums over the last 6 weeks.
Rough on them.😕

I will miss going back to the UK for Xmas with my parents this year. Thanks to the Covid malarkey, UK lockdown and mandatory 16-day quarantine upon returning here, it's not an option until travel and flights return to anything near normal. My Mum especially will miss her grandson this year, but Skype will be the next best thing. Due to lack of Western media and politicians here, there is no real C-19 problem, so we will be mingling and jingling here in warm weather with various expat and local friends, neighbours, and company staff, BBQ's, get-togethers and piss-ups. Mibbe a trip oop North for the New Year.

It's a very tough time for many, as we know.
Wish I could fly away somewhere hot.

I am somewhere hot. We'll probably spend the day lazing about the house, maybe read a bit (I've got my JCC book saved up for that), listen to a bit of music, eat, drink some beer and champagne, go for a swim ... It's going to be tough
