Found this on a Clay Records punk comp, stands out like a sore thumb amongst the GBH and Discharge hardcore. Not the Kevin Rowland Killjoys but a power pop outfit. Great tune, anyone shed any more light on who they were?

stokebeat.wordpress.com/category/clay-records/I'm sure they did a song called 'Have you ever been to Stoke-on -Trent' which I heard years ago when I was staying there for a few weeks. Considering that Mike Stone used to work for Beggars Banquet I don't think it's much of a surprise that he was of aware of bands other than the hardcore roster that made Clay a success.

Habibi - The World Ain't Round, It's Square
Anyone know much about this band? Girl group from NYC with an Iranian-American lead singer who sings in both English and Farsi. Inspired by 60s garage and psych groups with some Iranian rhythms thrown in for good measure. This song is a version of the original by The Savages. I like 'em

The Moods - Rum Drunk [Melbourne, 1966]
Guitarist John Livi, who wrote the song, was 15 when the record was released. Bloody punk!
