Strange story of three baboons who escaped from the back of a truck in inner-city Sydney had me smiling into my muesli when I heard it on the news the other morning.
Most people assumed they were from a zoo or circus or such-like. Turns out they were part of a baboon colony kept for medical research purposes. Few people know about this and questions are now being asked, but it'll probably be forgotten in a few weeks/months.

And I, for one, welcome our new escaped baboon overlords.

Oddly, we have wild wallabies here in the Isle of Man. A breeding pair escaped from the island's Wildlife Park (which is about 10 minutes from my home) and were never recaptured. There's now about 100 of them roaming free in the island's north west, but I've never actually seen one.
