A film of the legendary 1978 concert by The Cramps in a mental hospital. The band is rough and raw with the lineup of Nick Knox, Bryan Gregory, Poison Ivy and Lux Interior - no bass. Some of the audience members look subdued, but most start getting enthusiastic as the show progresses. Some are right into it from the start, with several people on the stage throughout the show. There are also a few who repeatedly try to steal Lux's microphone; sometimes he just hands it to them, but then has to wrestle them to get it back. A great show and sometimes quite hilarious.
Lux: 'Somebody told me you people are crazy. Well, I'm not so sure about that. You seem alright'.
I watched the film on video but just found out it is also on youtube. It is sad to note that only Ivy is still in the land of the living from this lineup.
