Does any of this stuff really matter nowadays?
I'm not sure how I'd classify myself. Nor are my friends of any particular type or background.
My best friend on the island is a Countess. Some of my best friends in the UK claim benefits and live on a council estate. I usually stay with them when I visit the UK.

Increasing inequality, decreasing social mobility, and the huge and growing chasm between the very richest and the rest are all pressing social issues for all kinds of reasons you don't need me to remind you about
The old labels are unquestionably have lost a lot of meaning are far too simplistic for today's world. They can also distract us from the real issues.

Are you from one of the following'classes'.
Upper Class
Middle Claas
Working Class.
Did you go to a private fee paying school?
If class is irrelevant..why hide it?

Because of your possessions? Job?
Never understood the need for class'mobility' in some people.
Society dictated what class I was both socially and economically.
It wasn't something I asked for.

It's not a 'need' for me, merely a change of circumstances. I don't let society dictate to me. I guess this is a bit of a hangover from the attitude I developed back in the new wave  |

Well, obviously society does dictate to you as it does everyone.
I mean the 'weekend' didn't exist until workers actually fought for it.
By it's very nature capitalism needs its class system to function.
The Ruling Class knows this better than the working class!!

I have cooked precisely once in the last decade: I told my friends that I know how to make bread-and-butter pudding and they asked me to prepare one at another friend's dinner party. It all got eaten, so it can't have been that bad. |

If pushed, I'd have to opt for middle-class as I'm neither descended from the aristocracy and nor did I grow up poor. I went to a minor (and incredibly eccentric) public school via a scholarship. Hardly anybody left there with any qualifications, but we certainly had plenty of fun. |

It all got eaten, so it can't have been that bad. I cooked some Mexican food earlier and it was lovely. Cooking your own food is a really creative experience. I hate fast food and enjoy cooking although to be honest most of it I've learned due to the women I've lived with throughout the years. |

Mind you I don't have any material aspirations anyway. Growing up in relative poverty always taught me to appreciate people first. Besides, who really gives a fuck how big a telly someone has?!🤔 |
