I thought I was the coolest kid in the neighborhood when I found Younger Louder and Snottier in a record bin. The rough version. John Belushi hung out with these guys a few times.

...the story goes, that the band were never happy with the original mix of that classic first album. Years later, after even Lords Of The New Church had split up, Stiv found a cassette the engineer gave him of rough mixes of the album, so that got released in a semi-bootleg form. Likewise a collection of their rough mixes of their second album also got released.

Just Cheetah Chrome*. The poster for the gig has got them down as hardcore punk pioneers?! They were one of the most melodic US bands.
*Useless fact: Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies) played CC in a CBGB biopic.
