I'm very late to the Line of Duty party having only just watched the first episode and about half of the second one
Got to say I'm quite impressed
I like cop stuff if it's done well and this is well cast, well directed and tautly written
I can see what all the fuss is about and why it developed such a large and devoted following
I often fall by the wayside with these shows that require a big time commitment so I won't be surprised if I falter but, so far, I'm invested and engrossed
Line of Duty? What's yer verdict?

Yeah, I binged too about a year ago. By the end of the last (before the current one) I thought it was becoming so impenetrable and far fetched I must admit I haven't bothered with the current one.

I've watched all of series one now
Despite some ludicrous plot points it is a good watch
It works best as an examination of how little decisions can gradually undo integrity
It also explores some of the complexities of policing
The big villain and his decision making bear no scrutiny whatsoever

Series two certainly starts with a dramatic episode

I'm now nearly at the end of series four
Still loving it
A weird mix of the presposterous and the more nuanced
What it does so brilliantly is deliver amazing shocks and drama

I think it could end tomorrow night.
It probably should, while it's still good.

I've finally got to the end of Line of Duty and, overall, I was gripped by it
All a bit far fetched but with plenty of WTF moments too
It would have been even better with less action and more AC12 interviews, which were often the highlights
I picked up that many viewers were disappointed by the ending of what seems likely to be the final series
I liked it. Of course corruption (sort of) triumphs

Finished watching this earlier and I'm not a fan of these type of cop shows but this one held the interest.
I'd agree with Lord E that the actual interviews were the best bit about the whole thing and that was due to a great bit of ensemble acting with Vicki McClure, Martin Compston(why isn't he speaking in his real accent?)and especially the wonderful Adrian Dunbar who absolutely lights up the screen with his performance(s).
Also, couldn't understand why Kelly McDonald was given top billing over the above as she is nowhere near as charismatic as the other three.
I preferred both The Departed and Internal Affairs compared to this but it's still a good watch.
7/10

Mercurio's 1995 medical drama Cardiac Arrest is on BBC4 tonight (full series one) and next Wednesday full series two.
Anyone seen it?
