Magazine itself, quite a curio. Usual music features that you would have found in Vox etc but then travel sections and politics. Being circa 1985/6, CDs were only round the corner and with the accompanying vinyl it's not something you could roll up and put in your pocket.
Anyone remember it?

Do you remember SFX - the cassette magazine?

The days when people would just start quite magazines with quite high production values seems a long time ago

I worked for one called 'Kicks' - a sort of youth magazine. I got recruited to sell advertising, something I had no experiece of and was only 18 years old. Fun times but only lasted about 8 months, not unsurprisingly. I did sell some space to 4AD for the first Matt Johnson LP 'Burning Blue Soul'. Met Ivo in the pub and got on like a house on fire. I recall he was quite disappointed in the mag itself though.

Think I got mine second hand in the wonderful Beanos record shop in Croydon.
