^^ A staple of every anti Vietnam War film. You've got me wondering about other songs that are instant signfiers when used in films and documentaries Meanwhile, back to Creedence Clearwater Revival, I could listen to their version of Suzi Q all day long (yep, all (nearly) 9 minutes of it)... Creedence Clearwater Revival - Suzi Q

Well CCR are featured in lot of films.Off the top of my head: Suzi Q pops up in Apocalypse Now. Bad Moon Rising, American Werewolf in London. There's even a movie entitled Who'll Stop The Rain, which includes several of the band's numbers.

Too American for my tastes Whatever next? Three Dog Night? ...or Steely Dan? Best group ever ...not to be confused with cheesy backwoods Americana.

Not a huge fan of the band but I have seen John Fogerty live a few times and always went away thinking I got my money's worth

I was surprised to read that Kim Salmon, talking of the second version of The Scientists, admitted to CCR as an influence. I suppose that 'swamp' thing had to come from somewhere

For reasons I no longer recall, I wanted some time ago to know more about the Duck Kee Market that appears on the cover of the Willy & The Poor Boys LP. I had thought it was some sort of produce market. Turns out it is was just a corner shop.
Read all about it here. Lots of fascinating trivia:
