I have just changed my mind on the best Dylan song
I just gave his 1983 album "Infidels" a listen and I had forgotten how good it was...a very very decent collection of songs...and if you call on Robbie Sheakspeare on bass, Sly Dunbar on drums and Mick Taylor/Knopfler on guitar to do the job, you can't go wrong
I think this Robbie/Sly reggae thing really suits Dylan so this is my favorite..."neighborhood Bully", "Sweetheart like you", "Union Sundown", "Man of peace" and "Licence to kill" are great too
Bob Dylan - Jokerman

Probably the NYC sessions version of Idiot Wind, but almost impossible to narrow it down. A true genius in a world where the term has become meaningless by overuse.

Dylan goes Punk-"London Calling"-Bob Dylan (Cover) + The Clash (Original)
A mashup audio-video of Bob Dylan covering 'LONDON CALLING' (one verse) of The Clash at Brixton 2005 and the original song by The Clash (illustrated with footage of the movie 'Billy Elliot')

It's no secret that John Cooper Clarke copped a lot of his image from Dylan. I like the bit in his book when he says, 'A lot of people compare me to Bob Dylan. Things like "Compared to Bob Dylan you're not very good"'.
Back to Dylan: Too many to choose, but I always liked these ones
Highway 61 Revisited
Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts
Subterranean Homesick Blues

Paul Morley has done a Dylan book You Lose Yourself, You Reappear by Paul Morley Review: A Bob Dylan biography that is both silly and profoundAnother Bob Dylan biography? Surely there is nothing left to say. The journey from Hibbing to Greenwich Village and beyond, via going electric, God, the still-unfinished Never-Ending Tour and the Nobel Prize, hardly needs rehashing.
Yet, as all Paul Morley’s predecessors have discovered, Dylan himself remains as tantalisingly elusive in 2021 as he was in 1961, when Robert Shelton’s career-boosting New York Times review noted: “Mr Dylan is vague about his antecedents and birthplace”.....inews.co.uk/culture/you-lose-yourself-you-reappear-paul-morley-review-bob-dylan-biography-silly-profound-988869
