From (the) Buzzcocks doesn't quite scan but they're not much different from Bruce Foxton's nostalgia venture.

I wish they'd got in a much younger singer Maybe even a girl singer, to give it a fresh twist When you've got all these great songs about youth it seems a waste

That might have got me interested
Pete always seemed like a lovely bloke
Steve Diggle, less so

Diggle is a lovely bloke until he gets on the booze. Many years ago he kicked off at Nottingham Rock City with some women in the audience. After the show he was bundled out the exit to save himself getting a kicking from the women's partners. I vividly remember him continually insulting the crowd as Buzzcocks played at the Levellers Beautiful Days festival.

I've not seen The Buzzcocks post Pete Shelley, so looking forward to it. I will reserve judgement though, but am aware that it will depend on Mr. Diggle. Buzzcocks are now on before Tricky, so tomorrow eve should be good. It's a shame The Futureheads ( and now LIFE ) have had to pull out due to Covid, especially the latter as they're great live and was looking forward to seeing them on a bigger stage. I don't really know much about The Futureheads apart from their singles, but disappointed they're not playing. Fingers crossed no-one else will pull out.

With everything going on with the spread of Omicron, i am surprised an event of this size is going ahead this month. Futureheads are a great band, that have survived fical fashion and have retained a following. I have a couple of albums by them plus a batch of 7" singles. They were a big influence on Maximo Park i reckon

Drunken karaoke, perhaps they should call it a day? Or do as Stu says...

To be fair, Steve looks like he is focusing on the song there, rather than just dicking around. I don't really know if continuing as the Buzzcocks now that Pete is gone is a good idea... Steve is a good songwriter in his own right, and if they release a new album i will certanly give it a listen. He mentioned in an interview that Pete told him that he was going to quit and urged Steve to continue with the band.
