...Cheers Stu, a good and candid interview with Andy, that pretty much covers why the 'ANT' album is happening now.

Paul Marko set up this interview. Looks like the single is selling well. Hoping that there will be an announcement early next year when the album is on the way.

Thanks. Yes Andy
Download or CD for me
Interesting that it's on Spotify. I'll cop a listen. I only have a free account so have to suffer the odd advert but I'm really curious to hear it

The ridiculous topics that come up at record fairs. Debating yesterday what the SLA acronym is on Thinking Of The USA. I'm under the impression that it is The Symbionese Liberation Army, the gang that kidnapped heiress Patty Hearst. They were active early seventies so might have influenced the song. Answers on a postcard please....if you can be arsed.

...i have never directly asked him (Andy Blade) but that is almost certainly correct. As we all know, between 1974 to 76 (and beyond), Patty Hearst's kidnapping/involvement in crime/trial/conviction was a HUGE global newstory. Even as a young naive teenager i was aware of the her and the SLA (...and Baader Meinhof) ...so Andy Blade would have too.

And the SLA was referenced in a track on the first Patti Smith album (can't remember what it's called now) but Andy would doubtless have heard that one too. As Andy LS sez, it was big news in that era

Not on Horses, LE but on a single, the rather bizarre reading of Hey Joe, Piss Factory on the flip.
