Is anyone getting bored with a having a drink in the house yet? Yes, only so many times I can sit around the fire before I get tired of smelling like smoke.

Not a chance. One publican in Scarborough put a video up on Facebook on how to enter and conduct yourself, it would be easier to get a job with MI5. So much pisstaking in the comments section, he's now taken the vid down.

I hope in a few months that the pub experience gets a bit more normal but this is wishful thinking more than anything else. However, I 'll be monitoring events as they unfold in England...

Saving my first pub trip for Wednesday - after my first haircut I have a birthday lunch booked for Thursday and it's outdoors due to the fact that drinking indoors isn't 'permitted' until the following week. Given that the weather has been blowing a gale up here over the last few days I think both myself and Mrs Roguepunk will have to dig out the rubbers and the wellies for it!

I have no burning desire to go to pubs in the short to medium term
Here's hoping our Roguey has a fun birthday bash, whatever the weather

I had my first visit to a pub last night
Weird seeing the owners wearing gloves and visors but it was wonderful to back in the pub with a couple of friends enjoying a few pints

My alfresco lunch went well and it was good to get a nice draught pint and a few cocktails down my neck too!😎
The table service is a bit rough on the staff as we went to a couple of other places and although awkward for the staff and customers to begin with a routine was established eventually.
However, it just isn't the same and until theres a vaccine or cure for Covid my outings will be sporadic...😐

I'm at work and gasping for a pint so it'll be the pub directly to quench that thirst 🙂

It's got to be done.
