Seems SLF today got that brilliant YouTube channel RedPunkVinyl shut down. Can you tell us any more about that Stu? Judging from what he wrote on Facebook he posted an SLF demo on YouTube and they objected. UPDATE I've just had a look again and it was BMG that objected.

I think Burns is into all this 'I'm a serious rock musician'stuff now but I'd surprised if he had anything to do with it as there's plenty of Fingers stuff on You Tube.
Pity though.

I wonder exactly how influential Gordon Ogilvie was in the whole SLF story, it was certainly the lyrical content of the early days that helped them to gain prominence.

Anyone know the story of the Alternative Ulster picture sleeve? Is it a composite?
It's one of several that features images from The Troubles. Dexy's first album is another and also one of the singles of the Thought Criminals from Sydney.
I remember seeing the original photo of this one in a newspaper. Just to the right is a doorway and a couple of people looking scared stiff taking shelter

I think the Alternative Ulster cover is from Ballymurphy but I might be wrong. Remember discussing years ago with someone so it's a bit vague. It's a genuine photograph, not a composite.

If memory serves, the height of the wall the boy is on was altered to make him much lower and closer to the soldier. Can't remember where I read that though.
