^I love most of their stuff but a lot of people in Ireland think the lyrics are contrived due to Gordon Ogilvie's input.
Still Jake Burns's vocals and powerchords are totally incendiary👍

I saw them at Guildford Civic Hall on the tour to promote this album. The gig was reviewed in Sounds, which I remember reading in my lunch break at school. The reviewer made reference to Jake Burns throwing off his guitar and shouting 'Oi, bucket head! Come up here and try that!" to a skinhead who started fighting down the front. I wrote 'Stiff Little Fingers' in that style of writing on my PVC jacket. I agree about 'At the Edge'. |
