Either way either the Sun or the Beeb or both are going to come out of this heavily damaged. Win Win as far as I'm concerned.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-66165766Yet another twist After the two had first connected on the dating app, the conversation moved to other platforms. At this stage, the presenter revealed his identity and told the young person not to tell anyone. Later, the young person alluded online to having contact with a BBC presenter, and implied they would name him at some point. The presenter reacted by sending a number of threatening messages, which BBC News has seen. BBC News has been able to verify that the messages were sent from a phone number belonging to the presenter.

All the terrible things going on in the world and this shit is all over the telly. Far as I can tell they were all adults so it's nobodies business. To have a law where the girl could have sex with the bloke and that's legal but send him a pic of her and that's illegal is farcical anyway.

Far as I can tell they were all adults so it's nobodies business Many do suspect it’s one massive distraction That it further erodes trust in the BBC is great news from Murdoch’s perspective, and many of his political cronies And of course it is unclear if anything illegal has taken place All that said it amazes me that anyone in a high profile role is engaging in this kind of risky and unsavoury behaviour. What is he thinking?

And it's someone else's fault that he was thick enough to spend it on crack.

So this is a different person to the one already highlighted? Jeez. No.same bloke The article you linked to says... Speaking to BBC News, the young person - who has no connection to the person at the centre of the Sun's story about payments for photos - said they had been scared by the power the presenter held + the headline is... BBC presenter sent abusive and menacing messages to second young personUnless you thought I was asking if it was a second BBC presenter? Which I wasn't. I was just clearing up that the same BBC presenter had been doing something similar with a second individual. All of which makes me wonder anew that anyone in a high profile role engages in this kind of risky and unsavoury behaviour. WTF

I've got no beef with the BBC, indeed one look at America shows where totally unrestricted broadcasting leads, but The Sun, its owner, and anyone who takes their shilling can all go rot in hell

The Beeb is no longer an agent of impartiality. Love him or loathe him, they never let Corbyn have a fair say, Laura Keunsberg had an actual agenda against him. They have also dumbed down both in factual and fictional programming. They do need a radical overhaul.

They have also dumbed down both in factual and fictional programming. They do need a radical overhaul. It's not a democracy when senior military go on TV and threaten people not to vote for Corbyn. And when security service people tell the Sun the same. Both of which happened. Dare to want something other than what vested interests want and they take their ball home to mummy.

And yet it's instructive that a cabal of Tories loathe the BBC and want to defund it, and ultimately get rid
It is far from perfect but it's an institution we would do well to cherish. An overhaul for sure but don't get conned into thinking we'd be better off without it. A look at other countries shows where that might lead (e.g. Fox News or the rise of Belusconi in Italy)
With or without the BBC, Corbyn was never going to get elected

So the Scum have wrecked someone's life for no reason just to aim a dig at the BBC.
What a shock.
