Even if you get a kicking, you still retain your dignity. However, every situation is different. |

I wasn't travelling around London with my family This is based on travelling around London, often on my own, sometimes with one or two friends. 10 skinheads versus one or two is never going to end well for the minority. Especially if you're no good at fighting. On the occasions I got a kicking it was cuts and bruises - there was no dignity involved Unless you're Bruce Lee then this kind of talk is nonsense... Once the biggest fuckers crumble the rest are easy meat |

Back around 79/80 there were some younger punx who used to hang around some shops on an estate near me. The local smoothies were a bit older and used to bully them relentlessly. One night Tony Chaos, a punk from a nearby village was passing by while the smoothies were hassling the punx. He went up to the biggest one, decked him and the smoothies legged it. Going out on the street in your new wave clobber was like carrying a big sign inviting teds, greasers, smoothies, skinheads and every other f***er to kick you senseless. |
