Yes, very good indeed. Amazing how the FBI managed to get bugging devices into properties and vehicles.

Netflix has been a bit meh of late but they've just added the classic reggae sound system drama Babylon to the platform. Brinsley Forde as a young dreadlocks struggling with life in inner city London.

Absolutely brilliant film - thanks PU, I'll give it a rewatch Tomorrow Ben Wheatley's adapatation of Rebecca hits Netflix. Hard to see it living up to the book or the wonderful Hitchcock version but, as a Wheatley fan, I'll be checking it out

Babylon still as brilliant as I remember. Absolutely banging soundtrack, Yabby U, Aswad I Roy. Thought I'd get myself a copy, had it years ago.... but at £30 for a CD reissue and £50 for the original vinyl, I'll have to pass.

As our 'Halloween'film we watched'The Conjuring'.
Sort of the The Exorcist meets Ghostbusters meets the Amityville Horror.
However, it works and has some good moments.
Helped by a good cast however.
With Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga and Ron Livingston.
8/10

Arkansas. Liam Hemsworth, John Malkovich and Vince Vaughn in a dark, sometimes comic tale of low life drug runners in the Deep South. The Flaming Lips supply the sublime soundtrack. Recommended.

The Haunting of Bly Manor.
Starts off brightly for the first 4 episodes then gets bogged down in the middle with some silly Groundhog Day type plot machinations which get tedious.
However redeems itself strongly in the brilliant 8th episode but sort of peters out for the finale.
The title is pretty self explanatory.
6/10 for the whole series 8/10 for episode 8.👍

Illang, The Wolf Brigade.
If you've got nothing better to do during this lockdown, this is diverting fare. Korean sci fi, Robocop meets Jason Bourne. Very stylish shoot em ups though the subtitles whizz past so keeping up with the double cross shenanigans is a bit of a trial.

Gangster Squad.
Josh Brolin and Sean Penn star in a post war tale of incorruptable cops going after a crime king pin. It's not The Untouchables by a long chalk but still a decent period piece thriller.

I’m Thinking of Ending Things Yes, gave that a watch Smog Though provoking if confusing You need to go and read a few articles afterwards to find out what the hell just happened Worth watching though if you have a high tolerance for ambiguity and weirdness
