Enjoying this interesting hybrid series set in South London. Think Top Boy meets X Men. I’m on to episode 3 (of 6) and now all in. It’s an endorsement 🔥

Brassic
This series aired on Sky a few years ago and I thought the trailers looked great though not having the platform I couldn't give it a go.
So pleased as Punch when Netflix took it on. However, not all that the hype and some reviewers would have you believe. Neer do wells in a Northern nowhere little town and the criminal scrapes they get into. Funny but implausible, a second division Shameless. Joe Gilgun does his best as the bi polar protagonist but it all seems too forced.
5/10

Thanks PU
I've taken out another cheapo MUBI subscription so it's arty Euro films for the foreseeable
Back to Netflix, I gave up on Supacell. Perfectly fine but these days I need more than enjoyable enough

Netflix has been a bit meh of late but they've just added the classic reggae sound system drama Babylon to the platform. Brinsley Forde was a lot dreader in that than he was in The Double Deckers. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DAYNF5it0Pb
