Sounds intriguing - thanks Are you watching? How is it? One episode in and the cops are suspecting a staged kidnap, for whatever reason. Honestly you couldn't move to America and not suspect that every single person you met wasn't planning to fleece you of everything you own or kill you however trustworthy they appeared.

Really enjoyed The Outfit. Another excellent performance from Mark Rylance.

The Gentlemen.
Guy Ritchie turns his film into a series. If you like the Lock, Stock and Snatch malarkey, this is a good watch. Posh boy inherits his ancestral stately home, which is just a cover for a major cannabis factory. Lots of yer lads making cameos, Ray Winstone, Vinny Jones etc. Two episodes in and enjoyable so far.

I enjoyed the film so confident this will be enjoyable tosh In a similar vein and on Netflix, I watched Layer Cake on Friday…. Incoherent but entertaining enough. The plot bears no scrutiny but it all zips along and has a few twists along the way that add to the fun. 5/10

I started to watch The Many Saints of Newark - a prequel to Chase's HBO crime drama series The Sopranos, which takes place during the 1960s and 1970s in Newark, New Jersey but gave up after 20 mins as I found the sound mix levels bloody awful and a real lack of clarity in words spoken. I could have put on the subtitles, but in Albert Steptoe's words " I go to the films to see a picture, not to read.'

^^ Poor film and trying to tie it in with the excellent Sopranos was a travesty

I actually saw the Many Saints of Newark before I'd seen the Sopranos.
