Last Stranglers album was announced a "The last" I believe. I noticed both the UK Subs and The Vibrators have recently made their "last" records too. Are the old punks giving up at last? I think JJ has since said the band may have another album in them ,ngiven that the new keyboard player is possibly only in his 50s and JJ is now the oldest member at 70, then this is quite possible and JJ has said he had around 150 ideas for songs during writing Dark Matters . However you have to say is it still the Stranglers with only one original left , I know Has Watne has been there over 20 years now , longer than Hugh now .........but for me the day JJ calls it a day , should the others decide to continue , that's it for me.........I did say also when either Dave G or JJ stopped I wouldn't bother ,and now we are down to one with Dave G gone . Well we will see if there is an album in them , given the time it takes for them these days I would say not , I think they would have to move quickly or not at all.......I do think JJ still likes the band to be creative and Dark Matters was well received generally so it may give them incentive to do more . Who knows ?

Just read that, what a bad year for punk and especially punk drummers.
Considering his health problems, like Wilko, it was a testament to his character.
RIP.
